PixelAmsterdam

Taking my PixelStretch experiments to the extreme. Instead of just glitching parts of a photo, I pushed the pixel stretching across the entire frame to completely dissolve the original shots into pure color and motion.
The result is a set of dynamic, horizontal color bands that feel like looking out the window of a high-speed train cutting through the city. By stripping away buildings, canals, and street clutter, the process extracts Amsterdam’s raw color palettes—turning familiar urban scenes into minimal, abstract gradients.

Photography: Shot on the go around Amsterdam using my Canon 550D.
Distortion & Color Extraction: Running the raw photos through my custom PixelStretch app, pulling single pixel rows across the canvas to break geometry down into kinetic stripes.
Finishing: Balancing tones and framing the final digital prints.
